Richland High School Prom 2009 and Project Graduation 2010
I have had the privilege of working with Phillip Cothern/DJ 51-50 on two separate events for Richland High School. The first event was our 2009 Prom at the Ag Museum and the most recent was for Project Graduation at MS Baptist Health Plex.
DJ 51-50 is very trustworthy, responsible and hard-working and very affordable. He prides himself in doing the best job possible by keeping up with technological advancements (great laser lights), and keeping an ear towards the most popular and appropriate music for each event. After I couldn’t get my seniors to turn in a song list, he stepped right up on a very short notice and played all the “popular” songs or took requests on the spot.
I cannot express how thankful we were to have DJ 51-50 as part of our special events! We had a blast on Grad Night! Our students and parents have all commented on how much fun the DJ/music was and how it truly made the night great and I could not agree more. Thank you for paying such close attention to what we needed and all the little details, you even made the “door prize” a fun event!!

East Rankin Academy Jr./Sr. Prom 2010 River Room Conference Center Flowood
When I called Phillip Cothern, DJ51-50, to provide the music for the Jr./Sr. Prom from East Rankin Academy, I was looking for
someone to give our kids their "entertainment" for the night. WOW!!! He is the BEST!!! All I have heard from the kids is
"This was the best Prom ever!" The music was just what they liked, the lights were awesome and Phillip went over and beyond
to help make this a great night. Thanks Phillip, I will be calling you again!

Phillip has DJ'ed for me for the past six years. I work in Labor and Delivery at a local hospital. We have a unit Christmas Party every year. We have used only one other DJ and that was our very first party. Then, I found Phillip and there is no comparison. He was very patient and took every request seriously. He is not just a DJ he is a performer. He knows just when to spark up the party or slow things down. Not to mention when to add the fog, bubbles, or laser lights. We have a very diverse group of people in our unit, as every office does...he made sure everyone enjoyed the night. He made sure to mix all the music to suit everyone. Oh, and there is no fumbling through disc..he has it all computerized and ready to go way before the guest ever arrive. Phillip is awesome and has never let me down. I will only use DJ 51-50 for
all my party needs work or personal. Thanks Phillip !

Sweet Sixteen Party at Greenville Country Club
I want to thank Phillip and Kelly for making my daughter's 16th Birthday a wonderful and funfilled event with their music, lights, lasers, fog, bubbles etc. It was beyond our expectations. DJ 51-50 put on the best show ever for the kids with exceptional lighting, and good clarity of sound and music. They could compile the music of choice for the kids. Kids could also request songs and Phillip did his best to keep the request. Kids thought it was the best party/DJ ever and it was all because of DJ 51-50. We are very pleased with their service. I highly recommend DJ 51-50 and plan to use
them in future parties. They are reliable, on time, and resourceful.

Sweet Sixteen Party at Castlewoods Country Club
The Best Sweet 16 Ever!
I could not begin to imagine a better time than we had at Castlewoods with DJ 51-50. Phillip and Kelly absolutely made the party effortless. I mean who trusts your parents to pick a DJ? I am so thankful that they know The Cotherns (DJ 51/50). It was all the "right" music with phenomenal sound equipment!! Oh, the lights, lasers, bubbles, fog . . . like "the club" was right there for us. It was beyond what I expected and we would not entrust an event to anyone else. They are so professional and way cool! Everyone had an amazing time!! My parents were happy and I could not have been happier. Hands down . . . if they are available

Mississippi College Men's Civitan Club Toga Party

I can't even begin to describe to you how pleased I was with the Toga Party. In the years past, we've used several DJs who threw on some music and that was it. I guess I got lucky when I found your website and you agreed to DJ our Toga Party. Personally, let me just say that your sound quality and light display totally exceeded my expectations. The lasers were incredible and super cool, I've never seen anything like it! Now, on a different note,
I cannot tell you how many people came up to me and were like, "Where did you get this guy?!"
"This DJ is off the chain!" and my favorite, "Coolest DJ ever, spectacular!" Phillip, I had like 3 different people from other clubs on campus that were there, ask me for your number, so I believe you should be getting calls very soon. I gave them your info hope you didn't mind haha. Definately should be a popular DJ around MC, no doubt. Glad I could be your
first customer here. Once again, thank you so much. I.... WE had a blast, I know Civitan will want to use you again.

DJ51-50 has been part of Belk Flowood's Girls' Night Out for the past 2 years. Phillip does a fabulous job
selecting music that creates the mood we strive for as well as engaging our customers. I highly recommend
his services and will continue to use him for all of our events at Belk.

Hermetic Rush Company Christmas Party at Sparkman Auditorium Ag museum
Phillip and his wife handled the entertainment and sound for our company’s Christmas Party. They were referred through a friend and we have no regrets. He emailed me a list of songs for us to choose from, we selected the songs, but then forgot to bring the list. We didn’t have to worry. The music he chose was right on time. Everything was perfect. They provided us with music during the dinner and before the dinner was over, people were up dancing. We had to make them sit down to go on with the award part of the party. They provided us with bubbles, different lighting and the full setup for a real good price. It was all worth it. I am looking forward to working with them again and would highly recommend them for any function.

Elementary School Dance
Thank you for making the Fall Ball at McLaurin Elementary the best ever! The lights, fog machine, and bubbles
made it lots of fun. The students really enjoyed the dance. The faculty and parents were all pleased with the music selection and the response from the children.
